At Boesmanspoort near Alicedale, Cape, a South African Railways 15F class 4-8-2 locomotive follows the course of the Boesmans River with a freight train – 15th December 1968. It had been fitted with a steamoperated smoke cowl, to aid operation through unventilated tunnels on the Cape Midland route.
