A.E. „Dusty“ Durrant
South African Railways class 15CA 4-8-2 No. 2058 heads a mixed freight train on the Pretoria - Witbank mainline at Panpoort Transvaal – 14th September 1968. From the first series ordered, it had been built by the American Locomotive Company - under works number 67005/1926. This important mixed-traffic class had been sourced initially from the United States - from ALCO and later Baldwin - for express duties on the Cape mainline, with further orders being met by NBL Glasgow and Breda Milan.
