A.E. „Dusty“ Durrant

A pair of South African Railways class GMA/M 4-8-2+2-8-4 Beyer-Garratt articulated locomotives with a freight train at Elandskop on the Pietermaritzburg - Franklin line, KwaZulu/Natal in August 1968. No. 4157 built by Henschel & Sohn under works number 29616/1957 leads sister No. 4123 Beyer Peacock & Co., Gorton Foundry 7838/1958. Careful study of this magnificent landscape would uncover much additional interest here - with a sprinkling of animals - and a couple of herders on their ponies following the trail leading to lower right.
